I had no idea what I was going to write about tonight until I spoke to Belle on the phone earlier this evening. She sounded tired and upset and I discovered that in the past couple of days she has had to face the reality of the untimely death of a former work colleague.
She is also struggling with the knowledge that she had not made contact with him recently when the opportunity arose.
It is a timely reminder to us all that life is fragile and we need to make the most of our time with friends and family each and every day.

This post is so true and very timely for me. We had a death in our family this week and with all of us scattered around the globe I am so thankful that we live in an age where I can speak to and encourage both my daughters over the internet. It is so important to let those close to us know that we love them. Encouraging words can be a real blessing, so never think twice before you reach out!
