We live in an historic town in the Central Victorian Goldfields region. One particular drawcard is the Victorian Goldfields Railway (VGR), a volunteer organisation which operates a steam train between Castlemaine and Maldon. The steam locomotive had to undergo extensive refurbishment so for most of the past year the service has been operated using an old diesel engine.

So, it was very exciting today to welcome the steam locomotive and its passengers.
