Hello subscribers, friends and occasional readers old and new. If you are new to reading this I hope you find it interesting and worthwhile. Please leave a comment or you can email me.
I have been writing this blog in its current form for a little over 7 months. This is not long in the blogging world and a I hope to continue with it for much longer.
This is a Word Press blog and so, rather than “followers” as you see on Blogger, the term used is “subscriber”. I have now reached the dizzy heights of 18 subscribers – thank you to each and every one of you for the time you take to read my ramblings.
If you have subscribed I would love to hear from you and find out a little more about my blog friends. I would really appreciate it if you could either post a comment or send an email with your general location, your interests, how you found my blog, what keeps you coming back and of course the big one – how I can make it better. Constructive criticism is welcome.
I will be updating my profile and also profile picture so that will be coming soon.
For those of you who have not subscribed, please consider this option. You can go to the top right-hand corner of my home page and click on the button labelled “Sign Me Up”. Once you have subscribed you can adjust your preferences to receive email notifications or not or add to Google Reader.
We have now returned from our holidays so in the next few days I will go back and respond to your comments on previous posts.
Have a great day and I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
I like ready other peoples blogs about how they organise or simplify their lives and it gives me ideas and motivation to do the same. I am a mother of 2 grownup boys(men) and a Grandmother to one adorable little girl. I live and was born in the Hunter Valley in NSW in a little town called Kurri Kurri. I have also lived in Kingaroy and Kawana in Qld (and loved it). I enjoy most crafts and will try anything and like to save money where I can. I enjoy living a relaxed and simple life and do love being at home.
I like your blog as it is ;0)
Hi Fairy, I follow your blog from SS, where I read your thread each day and click over here. I live on the northern half of the Sunshine Coast, working in Maroochydore as a full-time shift worker in one of the emergency services.
Just turned 60 and hoping to retire in about 5 years, winding down a bit in every way, smaller digs, smaller garden, smaller social life. I am a stock-piler, veggie gardener and recycler from way back, so most of the stuff you write resonates with me.
Sadly I am not handy with my hands and so while I was taught many years ago, I don’t sew, knit or crochet, never quite getting the knack or the enthusiasm. This I really regret. The only corner of the craft I liked was cross-stitch or embroidery, which have limited functionality in a mainly survival regime. My main hobbies in life are reading and music, closely followed in the last decade by the internet, where I learn something new every single day and would be bereft without it now.
Never having blogged, I am unqualified to comment on others, however, I stand in awe of anyone with the computer savvy and patience to maintain one. I will now go and subscribe to yours.
Cheers, Kerrie 🙂
Hi Fairy, Long time lurker on your blog and enjoy reading it whenever you post. I also like your blog just as it is. Your comments are interesting, your recipes and craft work also. I’m on the northern outskirts of Brisbane and follow you on SS. Cheers, Pam

Hi Fairy, I also found you through Simple Savings, and I too love your blog the way it is! Great text, great photos, very inspirational. Looking forward to reading lots more of your posts. (Obviously, I have a shared love of organising, so these posts are my absolute favourites!)
